On the first of February I’ve submitted the apps ‘Boyfriend’ and ‘Girlfriend’ for review by Apple. The ‘Girlfriend’ app is made especially for him, and the ‘Boyfriend’ app is for use by her. With the app you can quickly call, message or email your lover, or you can just open the app to have a look at him/her.
If the apps gets approved by Apple, then it will become available from the App Store on the 14th of February.

When I began developing this app, I knew that there were tons op apps out there with just the same functionality, but that was the challenge for me. To take a concept, what is done hundreds of times before, and to still be innovative, to standout. I tried to do that, and I think I’ve succeeded.
If you take a look at all the quick dialer apps like, for example ‘Call my Love‘, which when you tap it, your boyfriend/girlfriend gets called. Or if you have a look at the app ‘Call Sweetheart‘, which opens up and then displays a tacky leather background with two ugly buttons. I thought by myself, I can do that better, much better.
So I began thinking about it. What would I want from a simple app as that? What would I like? What would somebody else like? I came to the conclusion that the app has to be simple, it has to intuitive, but most of all, it has to be beautiful. It has to be eyecandy if you will, but it has to be eyecandy to anyone. You want an app that you can fully customize, to your own needs, to your own taste.
So that’s what I made..
It’s an app where you can change the whole look and feel of the app. You can change the background, the outline of the heart shape and the buttons, and you can even change the fill of the heart shape. All of them can be easily replaced with a color or a photo of your liking.

It’s different and it does stand out among the rest.

Today I’ve released another update for Faces. This update will focus mainly on the improving of the interaction between the user and Faces. I’ve improved the loading of contacts, so it should take less time to start the app. I’ve also added a loading screen so you’ve got a better understanding of how many contacts were actually searched through and how many are used by the app.
The last thing I changed in the update is the gameplay of the Facts game. The six photos are shown as before, but you don’t have to eliminate all but one of them. In the updated version you still get the facts by tapping the “Hint” button, but if you know who the person is, based on the given information, then you’ll only have to tap on the right person. After you have done that, the game will show a pop-up just as usual with the correct photo and name attached to it. The gameplay will be much more intuitive that way.

Yesterday I got a notification from Apple that Regen has changed status to ‘Ready for Sale’. That means that the app is approved by Apple and that it is ready for the App Store.
Regen is a simple, clear and easy to use app. It provides a quick and detailed prediction of rainfall for the next two hours. By zooming in on the map, you can quickly see if it is going to rain in your own neighborhood.
Regen will be available as a free download from the 24th of October.

A brand new update has been released for Faces on the Android platform. The new updates includes major improvements like, faster loading of all the contacts, a loading screen, and last but not least; an easy to use navigation bar to quickly navigate between the different views. I included a few screenshots of the new design.
You can download Faces for free from the Android Market.

Yesterday the new update for Faces was approved by Apple. Today it should be available for everyone from the App Store. The new update includes some bug fixes and a new way of presenting the icon.
The bug that was solved by the update includes the (null) values when no given name or surname was filled out. The icon has also changed by removing the standard gloss which all apps get by default.

Today I submitted a new app who is now waiting for review by Apple. The app will be called ‘Regen’, which means ‘Rain’ in dutch. It is used to display the rainfall from the past hour, and the forecast for the next two hours on a Google Maps map. You can use the app to determine precisely when it’s gonna rain at your current location. The user interface for the iPhone and iPad is clean and simplistic so it will be easy to use. I will post screenshots for both the iPhone and the iPad version when the app becomes available in the App Store.
For now, Regen will only be available in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The app will be free to download.
